La Place offers gourmet French cuisine in elegant surroundings with stunning views of the ocean from most tables. It is run by Moroccan-born chef, Maurice Belhaj and his wife Fatima, whose former restaurant in Paris became so popular it was reported in the international press and the Michelan Good Food Guide.

The menu offers a range of starters, meat and fish dishes and delicious desserts in traditional French style. There are Conommé of scallops, scampi and oysters, Pot-au-feu lobster of Bratagne in vegetable broth, Poultry of Bresse pie with morels mushrooms and créme brûlée with wild green tea to temp you into a gastronomic experience not to be forgotten.

The menu changes every two months and is backed by a good wine list of both French and Portuguese labels. If you love fine dining at is best La Place is not to be missed.
