Now under the experienced management of Dutch couple Helma and Vincent who arrived in Portugal 2 1/2 years ago from Bergen op Zoom in Holland, where for many years they ran their own restaurant "O Marques". They are keen to use their extensive experience in Hotels, Restaurants and catering to develop the restaurant facility at Barringtons.
"No nonsense, just good food!" is Vincent's philosophy, and judging by some of the tempting dishes on the menu, he means it!

A range of delicious salads, soups and starters to get your taste buds tingling, include his speciality Tart of Tomatoes, with Smoked Ham and Marinated Pasta, the Carpaccio of thinly sliced Fillet with Salad, Parmesan and Pine Pits, the Salad of Stir Fried Prawns with Saffron or the Rich Garnished Soup of Crab and Shrimps.
The Main courses comprise a variety of meat, fish and poultry dishes, including the "Catch of the Day" Fresh Fish option, as well as the Duet of Fillet Steak and Veal Steak with a Red wine and Cinnamon Sauce and the Fillet of Salmon with a crust of Fine Herbs and a Sauce of Pinot Noir.
His irresistible desserts include the Warm Dutch Apple Pie with Cream and Vanilla Ice, and for chocolate lovers there is the White and Black Chocolate Soufflé.

They are also able to provide business lunches / meetings, buffets, cocktail parties and private functions and will be expanding the lunch facilities over the coming months.
Helma and Vincent believe that top-class, home-made food at reasonable prices, great service and attention to client's needs are some of the ingredients that will enable them to build an excellent reputation and atmosphere in restaurant "A Marquesa".
