A Muralha , located below the Castelo at the bottom of the ancient town wall, is one of the real original restaurants in the bustling market town of Loulé. This historical restaurant used to be a bakery and has lots of atmosphere. The restaurant features a lovely open fireplace. Outside seating for the spring and summer is set in an enclosed garden filled with banana trees, jasmine and lots of other lush flowers.

All the dishes are made of fresh ingredients bought from the local market daily. Specialities include Cataplanas, fresh fish, kebabs, and hot stone steaks. The Portuguese Tapas are also a firm favourite. Snacks are served in the bar area.
