Adolfo da Quinta was born out of love for the countryside. In 1978, the founder purchased the old Quinta, which had lain dormant for some time, together with 24.7 acres of land on the Monte dos Calicos.
Working carefully and with far-sightedness, he expanded the house in the traditional architecture into a country manor house. Cultural life at the manor developed, a guest house was erected and, in 1985, the development into a hotel complex seemed appropriate.
The ancient trees on the grounds were retained and to this day create the special atmosphere of the garden.
The hotel is now under the friendly and professional management of Mrs Fricke.

Of particular importance is the careful selection of the ingredients. We place the greatest value on buying only foods that are fresh, of high quality and unadulterated û a long-standing tradition. Naturally, we prefer local products.
The Sotavento region is called the “garden of Portugal” û and that says it all.Lunch can be enjoyed at the pool, just the treat for the hot summer days! .
